Instructions on how to use the X-Lite SoftPhone with NetTelePhone VoIP services.

For some customers it may work better to use the X-Lite SoftPhone to make calls through our VoIP network,
if they experience any installation problems with our main SoftPhone or some voice quality issues.

X-Lite also has some additional features that are currently not available in our main SoftPhone like the option of conference calls.
Also our main SoftPhone does not currently support Mac & Linux operating systems, but such users can use X-Lite to make calls through our network.

There are no direct links like to view calling records, recharge calling account or possibility of sending SMS with the X-Lite SoftPhone.

Here below are some useful links and tips, if you will use the X-Lite SoftPhone to make calls through our VoIP network:
a) You can check your account balance by dialing *11.
b) To view detailed calling records you can login with your NetTelePhone account at: http://cdr.adminsetup.com/.
c) To request a recharge to your calling account you can go to: http://www.nettelephone.com/recharge.html.

Here below are setup and installation instructions to configure the X-Lite SoftPhone to our services:

1. Click here to download and install the X-Lite SoftPhhone

2. During installation of the X-Lite software, you will see the window below:

3. Click on the add button and you will then get the screen below:

Insert your NetTelePhone account and password as demonstrated above and our
SIP Proxy Address: sip.net1sip.com in the "Domain" field and then click on the "OK" button.

4. You will now see the X-Lite software appear and see "Ready" on the display screen,
     when your NetTelePhone account is registered. On the image below you will see arrows pointing
     to where you can access the settings menu and adjust your microphone and speaker volumes.

5. The X-Lite software might not automatically detect your audio device and you can then go to Audio Settings Menu.
    To go to Audio Settings, click on "Show Menu" and select "Options" and then "Devices".

How to make a conference call using the X-Lite SoftPhone

You can place a conference call with the X-Lite SoftPhone and have two different parties on the line besides you.

1. Call the first party phone number and after the call is connected, but that person briefly on hold by pressing the "Hold" button.
2. Press the "Line 2" button and call the other phone number.
3. After the second line is connected, press the "CONF" button, to start the conference call.
